Youth Leadership Carroll County

The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Class of 2011 held their graduation luncheon at the
First Bank Activities Building on February 22, 2011.

The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program is comprised of five students from each of the five public high schools in Carroll County, The program was established in 2000 and approximately 215 individuals have graduated from the program.

The program has four day long sessions covering topics like: demographic information, team building, personal finance, local government, tours of different venues throughout the county, economic development and much much more. "These individuals in the program are excellent ambassadors for their schools and Carroll County" said Jackie McGee, Chairman of the Youth Leadership Carroll County Committee.

The Youth Leadership Carroll County committee is comprised of Renee Ford, Terry Howell, Jackie McGee, Kimberly Martin, Seth Martin, Nick Priddy, Lynn Smith and Chamber President, Brad Hurley.

395 individuals have graduated from both of the Chamber's Leadership Programs. (adult & youth).

The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1981 to advance the commercial, industrial, civic and general interests of the County of Carroll and its trade area.




2009-2010 YLCC
The 2009-2010 Youth Leadership Carroll County class is pictured on the spillway for the Carroll County 1000-Acre Recreational Lake. The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program is comprised of five students from each of the five public high schools in Carroll County. Also pictured are Mr. Terry Howell, YLCC committee member, Mayor Dale Kelley and County Mayor Kenny McBride.


Photos of Youth Leadership Carroll County 2010 taken at the new Carroll County Lake. Mayor of Huntingdon, Dale Kelley addresses the group during a class meeting and talks on the importance of the lake and how it will effect everyone in the county for years to come. Some of the photos shows the progression of the water level, large wells pump thousands of gallons of water per day. Although rainfall amounts have been down this past year, the lake level is rising quite good.
