It is clear that Tennessee had a great year in 2000 in regards to increasing the number of new jobs created but note that 80% of Tennessee's top 10 list is made up of expansions. It seems other states are getting more aggressive with their incentive package to attract new industries. Carroll County must have a strong state incentive program to compete with surrounding states. The Chamber is quite sure that Commissioner Alex Fischer will have some recommendations for the General Assembly in their next session.
