CARROLL COUNTY EDUCATION

Students attending grades Pre-K through 12 attend one of five special school districts in Carroll County. Local school systems provide local control and give the school board funding responsibility by providing limited taxing authority. The Carroll County School System provides services in transportation, high school technical education, adult education, school health, gifted and special learning, and other essential services.

Bethel University is a private, four-year university affiliated with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. It is located in McKenzie, Tennessee, with satellite campuses in Jackson, Clarksville, Nashville, Chattanooga, and Memphis. Bethel University offers bachelor’s degrees in twenty-five undergraduate areas and three master’s degrees.

The Tennessee Technology Center at McKenzie is accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education and is a Tennessee Board of Regents institution.
